Hillingdon Shopmobility provides fantastic facilities for those with mobility challenges (even if they are not registered as disabled) and we have a wide range of mobility scooters and wheelchairs for all abilities.
Our friendly and helpful team of staff and volunteers will help you choose exactly the right equipment to suit your needs and abilities and provide you with tuition on using it safely and confidently. Based in the car park of The Chimes shopping centre in Uxbridge, we have 22 electric scooters, 6 power chairs, 20 manual wheelchairs and a 4 wheeled walker with a seat.
But thats not all!
You can also borrow blankets and folding walking sticks.
There’s more! You can even use our services when we are closed! There are special wheelchairs and small electric scooters available for extended hire at a very reasonable charge. So go ahead and enjoy planning your next trip.
Our normal hours are Monday to Friday, 9.15 – 4pm (we need time to clean equipment before we go home for the day) but please phone us on 01895 271510 to book a slot.
Because of Covid, we may not be able to open at our usual times so please do phone us on the day to make sure we are open.
Because of coronavirus we are trying to minimise contact between staff and customers. So we are asking new customers to print off and complete the registration documents before they arrive and bring them on their first visit. The documents can be found on the How Do I Join page of this website.
When you register with us, we collect and store some information about you such as your address and phone number. We have always handled this information carefully and now that the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) have come into effect we have taken steps to make sure that we comply fully. A copy of our policy can be found on this website under the ‘Company Documents’ heading.
If you would like more information about the service you can leave a message at the bottom of this page. Please note that this website can be viewed by anyone so we advise that you do not include phone numbers or email addresses in your message. You can also give the office a call on 01895 271510. We are also very happy to visit local groups and societies to give talks and demonstrations of the service.
