We are open on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9.15am until 4.45pm but please phone before you come, to book a slot.

Where possible we would ask that you phone ahead and book an arrival time slot and if possible, pick up your equipment from outside the office. Those customers that need to come into the office will be asked to ring the bell outside and a staff member will let you in. All equipment will be thoroughly cleaned after each customer has used it and may not be immediately put back into service for the next customer. We have enough equipment so that everyone needing to use a scooter or a wheelchair will be able to do so.

We will have screens to protect you and staff on the reception desk and you must wear a mask whilst in the shopping area including the Shopmobility office.

You will be able to browse the books and mobility goods for sale as always and at the moment we are still taking cash only. This will hopefully change with the introduction of a card reader, which will make life easier for everyone. You will not however, be able to wait in reception for a cab at the moment so you will need to bear this in mind when visiting.

We ask that you show patience and understanding if you have to wait for a staff member to answer the bell, issue your equipment, validate your parking ticket or answer the phone. We will be running on a very skeleton staff who will be dealing with things as they arise.

Yearly insurance renewals will be extended by 3 months unless you advise us otherwise. Funding for the service has been severely reduced since shutdown and will have a big impact on how we can operate the service over the next year or so. Our grant funding is likely to be cut next year with the hope that it is reinstated the year after. It is hoped to run a full service, funding dependent, as soon as we possibly can.
